I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.
Artist's Description
With successive washes of multiple rich blue pigments wet on wet, this is my submission to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific 2018 Urban Ocean Festival depicting a Hunchback mother whale pushing her newborn up for a breath of air of the coast of Hawai. These whales have violet eyes that look at you when in the water with them.
About Xavier Francois Hussenet
I have been drawing and painting as far back as I can remember with a child's interest gothic architecture and sweeping swaths of red taffeta. I have had only a few classes in drawing and painting. I love watercolors because I am working with water over which I rarely have any control and which constantly challenges me to adapt. Nothing can replace the brilliant luminosity of paper coming through successive washes of pigments subject to the rules of water and gravity that the artist carefully orchestrates, if he is even a little successful, into an atmospheric illusion of unparalleled clarity and enchantment.
