Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

This is another exercise we completed in my watercolor class for seniors, we all worked on the same thing and I completed the project to help my students find their way and to know I would not ask them to do anything I would not be willing to do myself... each effort came out completely different, the power of the imagination informs on the things we see, and the difficulties on the way in creating a watercolor are turned into assets that transform our expectations into something always surprising.
I have been drawing and painting as far back as I can remember with a child's interest gothic architecture and sweeping swaths of red taffeta. I have had only a few classes in drawing and painting. I love watercolors because I am working with water over which I rarely have any control and which constantly challenges me to adapt. Nothing can replace the brilliant luminosity of paper coming through successive washes of pigments subject to the rules of water and gravity that the artist carefully orchestrates, if he is even a little successful, into an atmospheric illusion of unparalleled clarity and enchantment.
